Hey Tommy,

Thanks for your fair assessment of the penny auction website Quibids. As a web designer, I first discovered sites like this back in 2009. I've done pretty well, winning over $11,000 worth of goods from various sites at less than 1/2 the cost.

If you're interested in honing your skills, I recently wrote a book about the industry - http://pennywisethebook.com - that highlights tips, strategies and more.

Wishing you continued bidding success,

Josh

My family and I were eating at a Krystal's in Georgia earlier today, and we found the exact same thing in my sister's burger! We didn't search through the rest of the burgers we had because we were so disgusted, but the picture you have here is EXACTLY what was in her burger. I don't understand what this could be. We will never go back to Krystal's!

The one I ordered was 9.5mm per the receipt from Newegg. As long as it's a 2.5" Notebook drive you shouldn't have a problem.

Hey, as you predicted, the WD hard drive is dying in my Vostro A680. It runs mostly on 60 degrees Celsius.
I have one single question: how thick can the new hard drive be? I mostly found 9.5 mm hard drives, but there are a few that are only 7 mm thick.

I have an example: http://www.emag.ro/hard-disk-uri-notebook/hard-disk-notebook-seagate-momentus-st250lt020-250gb-5400rpm-8mb-sata-2--pST250LT020
Do you think this will do?

Thank you!

Thanks, Tommy. I had read that the Vostro A860 had to be taken apart to replace the HDD, but I had no idea it would involve that much disassembling. I'm really not up for that and won't worry about upgrading either the HDD or the CPU -- I'll just keep backing up and use it until the HDD dies.

I bought the A860 on sale real cheap when I needed a new laptop NOW and didn't have much money. It's served me well, I guess, but clearly it's poorly designed and cheaply made. But thanks for taking teh time to share!

Glad it helped someone! I don't know why they did away with the Sync option but it was a bad move on their part.
