Erase permanent marker from your dry erase board

So today I went to erase my dry erase board and realized I had used a black permanent marker at some point on it. I had just cleaned one a week ago in my garage and thought I would give my office dry erase board a good cleaning but to my surprise the marker wouldn’t come off. Finally I managed to remove the permanent marker with this simple tip.

  1. You will need a dry erase marker and eraser.
  2. Start writing over the top of the permanent marker with the dry erase marker.
  3. Once finished erase!

Now I did notice when I used a black dry erase marker to go over the black permanent marker it still left traces. I used a blue dry erase marker the 2nd time and my board looks good as new!

Hope this helps someone else!
