Save Money On School Snacks

boxed-logo-largeI must say that I didn’t realize how much stuff we would be buying for our 5yr old once she started kindergarten. With very little help from the school and finding out from our daughter that we neglected to provide her with juices and snacks we set off to find some place to buy in bulk.

I use Amazon.com and their subscription service religiously, just ask anyone that knows me, but like any good online shopper you still need to shop around. Thus landed me at Boxed.com. I probably spent way too much time comparing prices but in the end I came out pretty good I think. Here is a recent order for you to get a feel for them. This is also the 2nd time I’ve ordered from this company.

Ordered:

  • Gatorade All-Stars Thirst Quencher – Frost + Fierce @ 28 12oz bottles for $13.99 (for me!)
  • Tropicana Orange Juice – 100% Juice – 24 10oz bottles for $13.49 (these are over a $1 at the gas stations each)
  • Kellogg’s Assortment Pack Cereal30 Box Count for $9.89 (Amazon wants $27)
  • Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Bars – Variety Pack – 48 Count for $12.99 (Amazon wants $20)
  • and last of all I needed one more item to get free shipping so I picked Prince & Spring Liquid Hand Soap – Multipack of 4 7.5oz bottles for $4.99

I feel like I saved a few bucks which in the end is what it’s about. The remaining items I wanted Boxed didn’t have so I purchased them over at Amazon.

Boxed.com always runs a special that if you refer a friend then you get $15 & they get $15 off an order of $60 or more. Not too bad to save some extra $$$ and help someone out. One other item that I did take advantage of is I signed up for an AMEX card and received a $25 account credit later on and $150 off if I spend $600 in 3 or 6 months, I don’t remember which.
